LA SOSTA RESTAURANT
IN BRESCIA SINCE 1967

Since its opening in June 1967, La Sosta has represented a benchmark for quality dining in Brescia.

The first chef, Giovanni Mazzolari, created dishes for his guests that became famous, such as the “Nuova Carbonara” and the “Pollo alla Nerone”, while at the same time perfecting the traditional dishes that have always been beloved by La Sosta’s patrons: capretto alla bresciana, manzo all’olio, and the grand trolley of boiled meats.

That cuisine received major recognition and was awarded a Michelin star for ten years (at a time when only a very small number of restaurants in Italy held the distinction).

After a careful study of La Sosta’s historical archive, the young brigade now leading the kitchen at La Sosta presents once again — respecting its history and with great sensitivity to the needs of modern dining — some of Giovanni Mazzolari’s great dishes, which are now complemented by the contemporary and flavorful creations of Chef Giulio Pini.
